Foods rich in IRON




According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention the most common deficiency prevailing among children and pregnant woman is the Iron deficiency. Women between age group 19 to 50 should be consuming about 18 mg of iron per day and 27 mg if they are pregnant. Men on an average require about 8 mg of iron per day.



Fruits and vegetables rich in iron content are as follows:
Green leafy vegetables like spinach, beet-root, pomegranate, dates, dry grapes, dry fruits like almond, sesame butter, dried apricots and others.
