Siddha treatment for Chronic Kidney Disease

Siddha medicine for Chronic Kidney Disease

With years of research in traditional medicine we have developed protocol for treatment of CKD. Based on literary evidence and clinical research we have been able to control urea and creatinine effectively and also raising the energy level of patients undergoing dialysis thereby eliminating their fatigue.

Based on our experience we advise patient not to consume any kind of kashayam or arishtam like decotions which are traditionally provided for renal(kidney) failure patients, as it has found to increase the burden in kidney ultimately hastening its deterioration.

For this reason we provide CKD patients, medicine in the form of tablet and capsule form there by avoiding fluid accumulation in the body.

Also patient can feel the difference within ten days of starting the medication and results can be visualised within a month via urea and creatinine blood results.

What is Chronic Kidney Disease?

Chronic Kidney Disease(CKD) is condition in which the kidney gradually loses its function. It is also known as chronic renal disease. In CKD wastes cannot be eliminated from blood and keeps raising leading to vomiting sensation, swelling of foot, abdomen bloating. etc. Generally chronic kidney disease is unnoticed in general population but care should be given when a person has constantly elevated blood pressure measuring more than 180 mm Hg and haemoglobin less than 9.

Chronic kidney disease may be caused by diabetes, high blood pressure and other disorders. CKD may lead to kidney failure, which requires dialysis or kidney transplant to maintain life. People with CKD may develop heart disease which may cause death.

How to detect Chronic Kidney Disease?

* Persistent proteinuria(presence of protein in urine)
* Glomerular Filtration Rate(GFR) helps to determine the stage of kidney disease.
* Constantly elevated systolic blood pressure above 180 mm Hg
* Elevated creatinine and urea are evidence for kidney diseases.

What are the causes of Chronic Kidney Disease?

Chronic kidney disease is caused mainly due to diabetes and high blood pressure. In diabetes, blood glucose level raises very high causing damage to many organs in body including the kidney and heart including blood vessels, nerves and eyes. High blood pressure occurs when the pressure of your blood against the walls of your blood vessels increases. If the high blood pressure is not controlled or poorly controlled it may cause heart attacks, stroke and chronic kidney disease and may become fatal.

Symptoms of Chronic Kidney Disease:

* fatigue and tiredness
* poor appetite
* muscle cramp
* swelling of feet and ankles
* puffiness around eyes especially in the morning
* frequent urination especially at night.
